The Berghaus FreeFlow is the bag that I personally use on my travels as my day bag. In addition to my backpack (click here for our travel backpack recommendations) that has a detachable day sack, I use this.
There is a lot of choice when it comes to day packs but the Berghaus FreeFlow won out for two reasons. The first is that it is a good brand that has excellent quality. Although they have other day packs this one in particular caught my eye because of it’s back system. The back system isn’t ‘soft’. It has a fixed board in the back that once worn, makes the bag curve away from your body.
This means that you get a steady flow of air through your back (hence the name). In warm climates or during hikes or treks, this design is ideal. It’s also hydration pack compatible so really it’s a great all round bag that is comfortable to wear.
